Dear Members
We had a well attended Annual General Meeting on Monday of this week [30 Oct] and your new Management Committee is set to meet for their first meeting on Thursday of next week.
High on the agenda will be the matter that we had no nominations for the positions of Club Captain, Men's Captain or Men's Vice Captain.
If, following the AGM, any member would like to be considered for one of these positions please let myself or the Secretary know as the new Management Committee can co-opt such a volunteer to the position.
Once we have had our meeting next week I will write to you all, as has become my practice, and let you know of topical matters of interest to you.
We now have a pool table at the club and it is proposed that we have a pool night on Wednesday evenings. These will start on Wednesday 8 November at 7 pm and all are welcome regardless of experience. Once we have seen how many wish to play pool we can consider running leagues and/or knock out competitions and these will be open to both ladies and gents.
Our dinner presentation is fast approaching and I look forward to seeing many of you when we can celebrate the success of our members in the numerous club competitions.
