The season really has started and it is good to see so many games being played.
The Management Committee has asked me to remind all playing members of a few rules regarding matches.
No competitive games can be booked to be played before 6 pm Monday to Friday and not before 11 am at the weekend.
All use of rinks needs to be via the rink booking calendar and not on a turn up and play basis, except for the Friday evening friendly roll up.
At the weekend a member can book to play two competitive games provided they play on different rinks.
Members may not practice on the green on the day of a match.
I have also been asked to mention to playing members that when you are down as a reserve for a friendly match that you remain available until the start of the match.
It was great to offer Tetbury Brownies a chance to try their hand at lawn bowls. We had 18 Brownies turn up on Tuesday 30 April and feedback was very positive. It is good for us to be seen in the wider community and promote ourselves in this way.
We had a low response to running a summer pool league and have therefore abandoned the idea for the summer. We hope to restart the Wednesday evening pool night once the bowling season is finished.
I hope those of you that come to the Club to watch the various matches enjoy their visits and I wish all playing members good fortune in their matches.
