News from the Chair Apr 2025

Not long to go now and we will be back into the full bowling programme. The early season matches are being well supported with many of you getting back to friendly games at home and around the counties. The Selectors have asked for members to put their first and surname on the sign up sheets as this helps with the preparation of the match day score cards.

The Club is looking for someone willing to take on a role of supporting Brian and Vic in maintaining the green. There is a programme for when the green needs to have various treatments by way of spraying. If this is something you think you could become involved in please speak to Vic.

Next Sunday at the Opening Gala will be the last day for entries to the Club competitions so don't forget your entry form. Forms are available on line or from the bar.

As I have previously mentioned we are holding an auction this August to raise funds towards a full kitchen refit in 2026. Rob Hatto, Rich Thomes and Rob Oakley have been working away at getting donations for this event. If you know of anyone that they could approach for an item, service or voucher to auction off please let one of them know.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible next Sunday for the start of what should be an exciting season.
